The Destruction of the Final Arbitrators of Justice
Two days after the delivery, the theft begin to point to the Final Arbitrators of Justice, a secret mercenary group operating out of the lower Arminain Desert, near a place called the cloisters. The other crystal bearing cities such as the city of Ghenish and the Holy city of Carass begin to prod for answers. En-route to take the Ghenish Crystal, the Arbitratorian army stopped at the Tower of the Final Arbitrator's of Justice, killing everyone, and slitting their throats to make sure there were no survivors. The Dirt itself gained a reddish hue, Meanwhile, Sarcanus was being released from confinement in Armin to speak to their King, Janus. Eventually it was explained he had Adumbral Knight essence within him, he was destined to become the next Adumbral Knight. The existence of the Adumbral Knight was explained, but cut short, by word of an Arbitratorian army heading towards Ghenish. He departed with the Armin High Captain, Soldavian, and his friend Evelyne, a high elf.

Upon arriving at the Tower, the smell of the ripped open bodies was enough to make anyone gag. Sarcanus searched the compound, and found the bodies of all but five of his comrades. Enraged, and despite the better judgment offered by others, Sarcanus marched towards Ghenish, rage fueling his every step. The Fall of the Final Arbitrators of Justice, the Adumbral Knights, the Adumbral, It mattered little with the blind rage of vengeance.
The Adumbral and the Adumbral Empire
Sarcanus regained control after Ghenish, and began to see what was going on. His friends called him Shadow, to which he would be known as in future texts. Slowly Arbitratoria procured the remaining crystals, Sarcanus united those against Arbitratoria under a new flag, with no name, like many cases when there is a great foe, there is not two groups, there is one group, and everyone who opposes them. This group of everyone who opposed Arbitratoria would later come to be known as the Adumbral Empire, lead by the Adumbral Knights. The battle eventually took place in a large black tower, that Drakken would rise from the earth, the tower that held the Gateway into the Adumbral, and to the other worlds. Drakken would be murdered by his advisor Kain, who had other purposes for the newly opened Adumbral. The Adumbral Empire Armies, clashed outside of the tower, with the armies of Arbitratoria, unaware to what was happening inside. Calin begin to hear a voice, a deep voice, calling to him, telling him to come to it, to save his father. He obeyed, the subtle quiet call of Soulrender. Shadow and the surviving mercenaries of the Final Arbitrators of Justice fought a losing battle with Kain, who had used the Adumbral's control over time to create an army of himself. Calin meanwhile felt the cold hard steel of Soulrender, the Dark Essence enveloped him, slowly, he could feel his soul losing the fight with the sword, it was not long before it had taken him. Now at long last, Soulrender not only had a host, he had an Adumbral Knight.

Obliging a promise, Soulrender took it's new host up to Kain, found the original Kain and slew him, preventing all his copies from ever existing. Soulrender looked at the pathetic Adumbral Knight in front of him, and prepared to finish the fight there. Shadow was unaware of his legacy, he was unaware of the leader of the Final Arbitrator's of Justice taking him from his Experiment site and blowing the place apart. Shadow was unaware of the second Adumbral Knight. Calin was cut short as the Adumbral Empire won the fight outside, and the army began to flow into the tower. Quickly, Calin fled into the Adumbral, to finish Soulrender's path to the center.
