The Center of the Adumbral
Soulrender reached the center of the Adumbral, the heart of the very creation responsible for the existence of all material things. The Armies of the Adumbral Empire were hindered by the Xenids, Soulrender had traveled the veins of the Adumbral before, and knew how to deal with it's protection and how to avoid it's guardians. Very few were able to continue going through the Adumbral, most were stuck behind fighting Xenids, terrifying Carapace coated creatures, almost looking like a Demon/Bug/Dog crossbreed. Eventually Shadow stood in the center of the Adumbral with a small group of Adumbral Empire friends, but they were to late, Soulrender was already absorbing the essence from the Adumbral itself, the very walls began to writhe in pain. Understanding Calin was to powerful in the material realm to contend with, Shadow took the fight to the next level, and threw his essence into Calin's mind. Warped by Soulrender, only he and his elven friend Evelyne were able to puncture it, Meanwhile on the outside the others were fighting the indestructible abomination that was Soulrender.

Soulrender's powers within the mind were limited due to the powers of Calin's own will. The assassin turned Adumbral Knight and his highelven friend Evelyne moved through the layers of Calin's mind, which was nearly as dangerous and discerning as what was going on outside. Meanwhile those outside fought with their lives to protect the physical bodies of the two who were assailing Soulrender from within. The fight was quickly being lost on the outside, when Shadow and Evelyne finally found Soulrender within Calin's mind. Suddenly outside, Soulrender seemed to be losing control and power, the Adumbral Empire begin to turn the tides. The fight raged on, and eventually, the reinforcements from those who survived the battles with Xenids, allowed for the defeat of Soulrender, but not entirely. As his host was failing, Soulrender used his control over the Adumbral to send the sword which held him to another world, where it would be picked up by another. Calin was not believed to have survived the ordeal, though whatever Soulrender did purged him from the center of the Adumbral as well. Shadow vowed to protect the Adumbral try to unite the worlds under one banner, protecting the source of existence and finding both other swords, and keeping them where no one can ever reach them. Those from other worlds joined with him, forming the traveling Adumbral Empire, though their primary home world is Cerenia.
The Rebirth of the Aphotic Empire
In a world many seals away, a small society of dark elves, worshipping Mors were under enslavement by a kingdom of elves. A female worker by the name of Mirrith Al'thr found the body of a human male, with a long red sword next to it. The sword seemed to glow in a pretty red hue, she wanted to touch it, but she knew the trouble she could get into if she did not do the proper chore duties her elven taskmaster ordered her to. Curiosity got the better of her and she picked up the sword, she could feel the power coursing through her veins. She heard her elven taskmaster behind the hill, calling her name like a dog. a slight smile crept onto her face as she looked at the sword. She would come alright.

Mirrith stepped over the hill, the taskmaster looked up at her, a glare in his eye. He begin to yell at her for not having the water she was supposed to fetch, her lipped curled as his neck did. The sword seemed to drink the blood of the high elf, and she herself felt invigorated. She glanced at some of the other dark elven slaves. She issued no commands, her eyes said it all. It was that very day, the great elven Empire of Threshlin fell to the dark elves and Mirrith named herself High Mistress Mirrith of the new Empire, the Aphotic Empire. Immediate studies begin on how to break the world seal and enter the Adumbral.

It was not long before the world was under the dark coercion of the Aphotic Empire, Mirrith chose a High Priestess, and a council. Soulrender had learned it's lesson and was not about to let the Adumbral Knights expel his presence so easily, The new Aphotic Empire would be built on the same organization. He had been unsure if he could corrupt Dark Elves, but it took little, their true hearts were with Mors. He had enjoyed the looks on the high elven faces, when their magic did not work on the peasants they controlled. The Journey to the center of the Adumbral would begin again, this time however, with Mirrith leading an Empire to extinguish the Adumbral Empire. Mirrith smiled, and quietly mouthed,"This looks like it will be most enjoyable.".
